How to Maintain and Clean Your Quartz Granite Sink Like a Pro

The Secret to a Forever-New Sink

Quartz composite sinks are famous for their low-maintenance nature, but "low maintenance" doesn't mean "no maintenance." Due to the mineral-rich hard water in many parts of India, a proper cleaning routine is essential to prevent white limescale buildup on your beautiful dark sink.

Daily Routine

The easiest way to keep your sink clean is to rinse it thoroughly after every use. Use a soft sponge with mild dish soap to wipe down the sides. Crucial Step: Always dry the sink with a microfiber cloth. This prevents hard water spots from forming.

Weekly Deep Clean

Once a week, you'll want to tackle any potential stains or mineral deposits.

  1. Create a paste of baking soda and warm water.
  2. Apply the paste to the sink using a soft nylon brush (never use steel wool).
  3. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently in circular motions, then rinse completely.
WARNING: Never use harsh chemicals like bleach, drain unblockers, or highly acidic cleaners on your quartz sink. They can degrade the acrylic resin binding the quartz together, causing permanent dull patches.

Restoring the Shine

If your dark quartz sink looks a bit dull after a few months, simply rub a few drops of mineral oil or baby oil into the clean, dry surface using a soft cloth. It restores the deep, rich color instantly!
